Frequently asked questions about the CUN

How many CUN engines have you reconditioned?

Our workshop has rebuilt the Volkswagen CUN 5 times. 1 reconditioned unit is listed online right now, and more are usually in production.

Which vehicles use the CUN engine?

Based on the vehicles we have serviced, the CUN is typically fitted to: Volkswagen Golf, Volkswagen Transporter T6 2.0, and Volkswagen VRS. Send us your VIN or registration number and we will confirm the exact variant, year and emission standard before making an offer.

What does “reconditioned to 0 km” mean for the CUN?

Every Volkswagen CUN we sell is fully disassembled, the block and cylinder head are machined back to factory tolerances on Rottler equipment, and all wear parts – pistons, rings, bearings, gaskets, seals and timing components – are replaced with new ones. The engine leaves our workshop with the service life of a new unit.

What warranty and delivery time apply to a reconditioned CUN?

Each reconditioned CUN comes with a 12-month warranty when it is installed by a professional workshop following our installation instructions. Units in stock ship within 1–2 business days and reach most European countries in 2–5 business days. Carriers: DB Schenker, RABEN or DHL.

Do I have to return my old CUN engine?

Yes. The old CUN core must be returned within 10 days of delivery – complete, drained of fluids and on the pallet the new engine arrived on. We arrange the pickup with our carrier.
