How we recondition the CRT
01Disassembly & inspection
Every engine is stripped completely, cleaned and measured. Blocks and heads are crack-tested.

Precision machining
Cylinder boring, honing, line boring and surface milling on Rottler CNC machines – back to factory tolerances.
03Assembly with new parts
New pistons, rings, bearings, timing components, gaskets and seals. No reused wear parts.
04Testing & documentation
Compression and leak tests, inspection report, warranty certificate and installation instructions.

What does “reconditioned to 0 km” mean for the CRT?
Every Audi CRT we sell is fully disassembled, the block and cylinder head are machined back to factory tolerances on Rottler equipment, and all wear parts – pistons, rings, bearings, gaskets, seals and timing components – are replaced with new ones. The engine leaves our workshop with the service life of a new unit.
What warranty and delivery time apply to a reconditioned CRT?
Each reconditioned CRT comes with a 12-month warranty when it is installed by a professional workshop following our installation instructions. As soon as a unit is confirmed, it ships within 1–2 business days and reaches most European countries in 2–5 business days. Carriers: DB Schenker, RABEN or DHL.
Do I have to return my old CRT engine?
Yes. The old CRT core must be returned within 10 days of delivery – complete, drained of fluids and on the pallet the new engine arrived on. We arrange the pickup with our carrier.
